Mandhana spoke in the post match presentation and told that broadcaster that the Indian team were thoroughly disappointed with their outing in the WODI series.

“The way the WODI series went, we were all very disappointed. We worked on ourselves in the 2 days we had. Really pleased with ourselves, especially after that last game. We analysed a lot about what went wrong in the last couple of days. We had a good long meeting with all of us,” Mandhana said.

The batter revealed that she told coach Amol Mazumdar to be harsh on the India team and not sugarcoat things after the WODI series.

“I remember telling coach (Amol Muzumdar) to not be soft on us during the meeting and to be as harsh as he is on the Mumbai Ranji team,” Mandhana revealed.

India put up a terrific all-round show today. They bowled out Australia for the first time since 2020. India fielded well and took some tough catches. Pooja Vasktrakar and Titas Sadhu were impressive in particular. Mandhana lauded Sadhu in particular after her four-wicket haul and said that she was a special cricketer.

“The seamers bowled really well today, Titas was brilliant. She comes from Bengal and Bengal has already given us a legendary cricketer (Jhulan Goswami), don’t want to draw comparisons but she has a lot of clarity, especially for her age. It’s a great thing to have, hope she continues the same way,” Mandhana concluded in the post match presentation.
